Anja Erdmann (*1976, Erfurt) ist Klang- und Medienkünstlerin.
Sie studierte Medienkunst/Mediengestaltung an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar mit Schwerpunkt Klangkunst.
Mit ihren künstlerischen Arbeiten bewegt sie sich an der Schnittstelle von Installation, Skulptur und Performance. In intermedialen Formaten untersucht sie, wie Räume durch Klang, Licht und Bewegung erfahrbar werden und wie Wahrnehmung durch räumliche und soziale Kontexte geprägt ist. Ausgangspunkt sind alltägliche und urbane Klänge oder Naturaufnahmen. Mit Field Recordings und selbst gestalteten Klangobjekten entwickelt sie raumgreifende, situative Arbeiten, die Hören als aktiven Erfahrungsprozess begreifbar machen. Neben installativen Arbeiten entwickelt die Künstlerin fotografische Werke mit Soundfiles, in denen Bild und Klang konzeptionell miteinander verschränkt sind.

She studied Media Art and Design at Bauhaus-University Weimar with focus on sound art.
In her artistic practice, she works at the intersection of installation, sculpture, and performance. In intermedial formats, she explores how spaces become perceptible through sound, light, and movement, and how perception is shaped by spatial and social contexts. Her starting points are everyday and urban sounds or recordings from nature. Using field recordings and self-designed sound objects, she develops site-specific, situative works that make listening tangible as an active experiential process. In addition to her installations, she creates photographic works with integrated sound files, in which image and sound are conceptually intertwined.
