Impulse – Prepared Sound Room [2013]

„Impulse – Prepared Sound Room“ is an installation with motors and solenoids. Similar to an electroacoustic treatment like the „prepared piano“ the 2012 Sound Room installation „tilt/ line“ by Carsten Stabenow is expanded with small sounding objects which are animated by tiny engines. Prepared motors and electromagnets are installed in the room and add layers to the existing Sonification. The objects are controlled and composed via an electronic interface based on the open-source operating environment Arduino.
